Here are just a handful of the stunning carp which reside in Longwater. We have somewhere in the region of 50 carp in just under 2 acres, with more than 20 over 20lbs and a handful over 30lbs - with a couple tantalisingly close to 40 this year! We will endeavour to keep a steady trickle of pictures coming - especially as the fish get bigger and bigger!

We recommend the Korda hybrid clip which safely clamps the swivel. Putting the tail rubber under the retention arm allows immediate release.

A brief history of how we got here
To say Longwater wasn't in the best shape when we got her would be a colossal understatement. Here's a few highlights of the work we did and the 10's of thousands we spent to get her to the beautiful place we see today....
Eventually we found it! Two thirds of the lake was impassable and overgrown following decades of neglect.
We wandered round wondering where the water was...
Areas of the lake bed had dried up and become a forest. This took a bit of effort to resolve - with some help from the kids!
This was the bottom of the lake bed!
It's taken us 4 years to get to a point where we can invite anglers to share the lake.

Very quickly it became apparent that we would need to remove quite a bit of silt from the lake bed.
We had a bit of a silt issue!
And tried to remove decades of junk and neglect.
So we drained her down
We got the diggers in to remove it. Eventually after months of work we had a clear lake bed!
